When I pitched the idea of a mural on the Los Angeles Mission’s exterior in Skid Row, I was aiming for a splash of color and a whole lot of impact. Enter Kenny Scharf, the street art legend, and Andy Warhol protégé. Convincing him to take on the project was like landing a unicorn—magical and almost unbelievable. I crafted a comprehensive plan and rollout strategy, aiming to raise awareness and funds for the Los Angeles Mission. The result? Over 300 million media impressions, features in the LA Times, LAist, KROQ, and more. We even produced a mini-documentary. Leading the strategy, I turned the mural from a concept into a reality, complete with a fundraising campaign that brought in substantial support for the mission. It was a wild ride from start to finish, proving once again that creativity and a solid plan can transform urban walls into canvases of hope.
